Meta Mechs with Den Airwalker from RJF

We have been asking Div A teams to provide some insight into their mech builds and choices.
In the match between RJF and PHL drop 3 on HPG, Den Airwalker step into a Dragon 5N, top scoring with 944 damage, 3 Kills, and 3 Assists.

We asked Den why the team ran this mech.

"Since skill tree release a lot of good heavies have been nerfed, most noticeable are NTG agility and SMN cERPPC nerfs. Thankfully DRG-5N since the introduction of IS UAC2 haven't got the attention of PGI balance team yet. To the end of the league, we pretty much found that with new rules on the third drop you can take a very tanky setup of KGC+2xDRG+NTG/SMN/RGH+LBK+ASN+ACW/BSW/HBK-IIC-A+BSW/HBK-IIC-A. If the enemy has long or medium range you just close by while shooting at them with UAC2s on approach. If the have brawl you gain map control and make enemy push at you. Even if you were caught unprepared you still have a lot of armor and DPS to put up a fight against brawling deck.

So that's pretty much what we did on HPG drop against PHL.
Sent fast group in the basement to get the cap while rest of the team just pushed on PHL mechs on the ramp. While they sent their dragon to help in the basement where they lost a few mechs. After that, we just turned around and finished them off. For this particular map taking these weapons allow you to counter enemy mechs sitting on the wall.

There is one more thing about this mech I would like to say. I run an XL engine for three reasons. Firstly, competitive players usually go for the arm. Secondly, it offers you higher speed, more heatsinks, and ammo. And thirdly, generally, instead of dabbing to cover right arm I prefer to face tank and prioritize aiming at vulnerable components making arm an easier target. And if the enemy dragon goes full defensive switch to some other target."
